All,
We are happy to announce that Taylor is 6 weeks old today and growing like a weed! She changes everyday and has shocked Brent and I with how quickly she has developed into her own little person. She is really taking in her surroundings these days. We make faces at her and read to her every day. Taylor loves tummy time and can lift her head up and hold it up for some time. Tonight was the first day I had seen her actually push up on her arms while holding her head up at the same time. We are suffering through a diaper rash currently which I think is more painful for me than for her; I cry when I have to change her diaper and have completely out-cried her today! I had never seen a diaper rash before and really was heartbroken but when I called the Drs. office I was reassured by the front desk that it is not abnormal although without a doubt uncomfortable for baby. Well I had better get back to the family; Brent is in the chair watching TV, Taylor is in her swing sleeping (with Roxy planted firmly in front of her of course) and Whittney has taken the opportunity to curl up next to mom while I am briefly not attached to Taylor.

Well Taylor is a month old and has been a joy. Brent and I are settling into parenthood and finding it to be a real ride! No one can prepare you for parenthood; I jump up to check on her at every little baby sound she makes just to be sure she is alright. Roxy loves her new baby so much it is really funny to watch her concern for Taylor. Whittney is slowly coming around to this little intrusion on her baby status; we figured it would take her some time to accept becoming the middle child! Taylor’s hair is growing longer already and I can’t wait to put it in a pony tail. Our house has been taken over by baby gear much of which she doesn’t use i.e. her two beds (she prefers ours). Taylor still has her nights and days switched but we are working on that especially after being up with her until 6am the night/day before last. Brent came downstairs when the alarm went off to get going for work to find me still up with Taylor.
Well Roxy has come to tell me that the baby is crying to be fed so off I go.
